Impact of our STEM labs

How we measure the impact of every STEM lab

Outcomes, not just counts of kits delivered.

Every lab is assessed from the day before it opens to the end of the year, and every CSR partner gets reports their board can read.

How does Anylan Foundation measure the impact of a STEM lab?

Every lab is assessed three times a year: a baseline before it opens, a midline and an endline. Reports track seven indicators, including learning gain, lab usage, girls' participation and teacher independence, with targets agreed with the CSR partner at MoU. Partners receive impact reports and a utilisation certificate for their CSR records.

Questions

Measuring STEM lab impact: common questions

How does Anylan Foundation measure the impact of a STEM lab?

Every lab is assessed three times a year: a baseline before it opens, a midline and an endline. Reports track seven indicators, including learning gain, lab usage, girls’ participation and teacher independence, with targets agreed with the CSR partner at MoU.

What reports do CSR partners receive?

A baseline report before the lab opens, photos and attendance through the year, a mid-year progress report, and an end-of-year impact report with a utilisation certificate for the CSR records.

Can a CSR program with Anylan Foundation be independently assessed?

Yes. We keep baseline data, attendance records and assessment results in a form an independent assessor can audit. This supports Rule 8(3) of the CSR Rules, which requires companies with a CSR obligation of ₹10 crore or more to assess projects of ₹1 crore or more.

What is the target for girls’ participation?

50% girls in every lab. Girls’ participation is reported every term.

Where does Anylan Foundation work?

Mainly in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, in government and low-resource schools. We also take on programs in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Anylan Foundation is based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
